BREAKING: 2025 GTLE 2 Results to Be Released Monday, Council Issues Critical Guidelines for Candidates

The National Teaching Council (NTC) has officially announced that the results for the 2025 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination, Second Sitting (GTLE 2), will be released to the public on Monday, December 15, 2025.

In a notice issued by the Public Affairs Unit, the Council confirmed the long-awaited release date, bringing an end to the anticipation for thousands of teacher-trainees across the country. However, the notice came with two crucial advisories that candidates must note before accessing their results.

A key point of the announcement is that candidates who completed their academic programmes in the 2025 academic year will face a temporary restriction. While they will be able to log onto the NTC portal to view their examination results, they will not be able to print their professional teaching certificates immediately.

The Council clarified that this hold is because the certificates can only be issued after the candidates' graduation lists from their respective colleges of education and universities have been duly submitted and processed by the NTC.

“Candidates who completed their programmes this year (2025) can only view their results but cannot print their certificates until their graduation lists are ready,” the notice stated.

Secondly, the NTC flagged an issue concerning the Pedagogy section of the exam. Candidates from institutions that have not yet uploaded the required teaching practice scores will find the abbreviation “IC” (Incomplete) against their Pedagogy score.

This signifies that the overall result for that paper is pending until the necessary practical assessment data is provided by the candidate’s training institution.

“Candidates whose institutions have not uploaded their teaching practice scores will see IC for the Pedagogy. Which means the Pedagogy score is incomplete,” the Council explained.

The GTLE is a mandatory professional examination for all newly trained teachers, serving as a final gateway to entering the teaching service in Ghana. The release of the results is a pivotal moment for the future of the nation's educational workforce.

Prospective teachers are advised to calmly access the official NTC portal (https://exams.ntc.gov.gh/) from Monday to check their status. They are also urged to carefully read the notices attached to their results regarding the two conditions.
