Accra, March 9, 2026 – The Management of the National Service Authority (NSA) has officially released Personal Identification Number (PIN) codes for Fourteen Thousand, Three Hundred and Forty-Nine (14,349) eligible trained teachers to enroll for the 2026/27 national service year.
In a public announcement signed by the Director-General, Ruth Dela Seddoh, the Authority explained that the PIN codes have been generated for graduates from 36 out of 49 accredited Colleges of Education that have so far submitted their class lists. A detailed list of the 36 colleges has been attached to the directive.
Prospective service personnel from the listed institutions are to visit the NSA website at https://gnsa.gov.gh/home and click on the portal to access their unique PIN codes. To log in and retrieve the codes, applicants will need to use their respective Student ID numbers and dates of birth.
The Authority noted that as part of the registration process, a fee of GH¢82.00 is required. Payment is to be made via Mobile Money across all networks to gain access to the enrolment platform.
Registration Timeline
The enrolment exercise commences today, March 9, 2026, and will close on March 20, 2026. Management has urged all prospective National Service Personnel to complete their online registration within this stipulated period to avoid any last-minute challenges.
Legal Mandate
The NSA has also taken the opportunity to remind the general public of the legal requirements regarding national service. According to the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), every Ghanaian citizen who is 18 years or older and has completed an accredited tertiary institution, including universities and Colleges of Education, is mandated by law to undertake national service to the State.
