In recent news, there has been an update on the teacher trainees’ allowance, particularly for Level 400 teacher trainees. According to the update, six months’ arrears of the teacher trainees’ allowance are due and will be paid soon. This is a positive development for all teacher trainees, especially those at Level 400.
For Level 400 teacher trainees, the feeding component of the allowance will be disbursed to the college management, and as per the usual arrangement, it will be refunded to the trainees thereafter. This means that out of the ¢2400, Level 400 teacher trainees will receive approximately ¢1200.00 from the college management as a refund of feeding components to them.

However, all teacher trainees from L100 to L400 shall receive ¢1,176.00 on Wednesday, 30th July, 2025.
