In this article, we will discuss the refund of feeding grant to Level 400 students for the 2023/2024 academic year. The total amount of feeding fees to be refunded to Level 400 students for the 1st Semester of the 2023/2024 Academic Year is ¢870.00. This amount is based on the actual payments received from the Government for the 1st Semester of the 2023/2024 academic year.
The calculation of the total amount is as follows:
1st released: 2 months @30 days x ¢6.50 = ¢390,
2nd Released: 2 months @ 30 days x ¢8.00 = ¢480.00,
Total: ¢390 + ¢480 = ¢870.
Principals are advised to credit each qualified student’s account with the amount due them, but not refund in cash until all outstanding student bills, including Congregation fees, transcript and attestation charges, etc. are fully paid.
In a follow-up letter, it was communicated that the total amount of feeding fees to be refunded to Level 400 students for the 2nd Semester of the 2023/2024 Academic Year is ¢784.00. The calculation of the total amount for the second semester is based on the below :
Total number of weeks (14 weeks @ 7 days/week),
Feeding grant per day (¢8.00),
The total amount (¢8.00 x 17 weeks x 7 Days = ¢784.00).
We count on the understanding and cooperation of all principals of public colleges of education in Ghana in this matter. By refunding the feeding grant to Level 400 students of 2023/2024 academic year, we are ensuring that they receive the financial support they are entitled to.
Therefore, L400 teacher trainees of colleges of education for 2023/2024 academic year, currently undergoing thier mandatory national service shall receive ¢870.00 and ¢784.00 for first and second semester respectfully.
