Teacher Trainees Successfully Paid One-Month Allowance Arrears for Second Semester of 2024/2025 Academic Year

The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has successfully disbursed one-month allowance arrears to teacher trainees across the 47 Colleges of Education in Ghana. The funds have been credited to the their e-zwich cards, ensuring timely access to the payments.

Each teacher trainee received GH¢400; with GH¢200 allocated for feeding grants and the remaining GH¢200 disbursed directly to the trainees. However, the SLTF has released GH¢196.00 to each trainee due to TTAG ¢4.00 dues.

Teacher Trainees are now left with two months’ worth of payments for the 2024/2025 academic year yet to be paid for.

It is important to note that final-year trainees who have recently completed their studies are also included in this benefit.

Teacher Trainees are advised to visit their nearest e-zwich loading center with their identification documents to access the funds. It is crucial to ensure that the e-zwich card is active and properly linked to the trainee’s details to avoid any payment issues.

This payment is a significant step towards supporting the financial needs of teacher trainees, helping them focus on their studies and prepare for their future roles in education. It reflects the government’s commitment to investing in the development of qualified educators.
