Advisory To All Teacher Trainees Following The Notice Of PRINCOF And Ongoing CETAG Strike

1. Following the recent notice issued by the National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF), and in light of the unresolved industrial action by the Colleges of Education Teachers' Association of Ghana (CETAG), the National Secretariat of the Teacher Trainees’ Association of Ghana (TTAG) hereby advises all Teacher Trainees to remain at home until the strike action is officially called off and teaching and learning fully resume.

2. The Association assures all Teacher Trainees that leadership remains actively engaged with the relevant Authorities and Stakeholders and is firmly committed to pursuing a permanent and sustainable resolution to the issues underlying the strike until normal academic activities are restored.

3. With specific reference to Level 400 Teacher Trainees undertaking their macro-teaching, TTAG is working closely with PRINCOF on the approved duration of the practice and strongly believes the ongoing strike will not affect it. Should the strike persist beyond February 9, 2026, a final determination will be made after that date in consultation with the relevant Authorities. Until then, Level 400 Teacher Trainees are encouraged to continue their practice and be guided by official TTAG communication.

4. All Teacher Trainees are therefore urged to remain steadfast during this period while awaiting further official communication from the Association. TTAG remains your voice, your advocate, and your shield until this matter is fully resolved.

Building a formidable TTAG front, Teacher Trainees at heart!!

TTAG, we mean well!!!
