Ghana Education Service Receives Financial Clearance for Unpaid Salaries for Teachers Recruited in 2024

 

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has received financial clearance to pay the remaining 6,249 teachers recruited in 2024. This development was announced by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at GES, in a statement released on October 16, 2025.

The financial clearance enables GES to complete the necessary processes to ensure that the affected staff receive their salaries. Although the clearance expires on December 31, 2025, GES management has assured that all staff will be placed on the mechanized payroll in time for November 2025 payments.
