Teacher Trainees to Receive Long Overdue Allowances Tomorrow with Updated Payment

Teacher trainees across the country are set to receive their allowances for the first time in six months. The Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has announced that it will be disbursing the payments tomorrow, covering arrears from January to June. Each teacher trainee will receive an amount of 196.00 cedis for each of the six months, totaling 1,176.00 cedis.

This payment is applicable to all teacher trainees from Level 100 to Level 400. The feeding component of L400 teacher trainees shall be refunded by their respective Colleges of Education. An amount of ¢1,200.00 shall be refunded to all final year teacher trainees.

The news has brought joy and relief to many teacher trainees who have been struggling financially due to the delay in payment. The allowances will help them cover their living expenses and focus on their studies without the added stress of financial hardship.

The disbursement of these allowances is a significant step towards ensuring the well-being of teacher trainees. It not only supports their financial needs but also encourages them to continue their education and pursue a career in teaching, which is crucial for the development of the education sector in the country.

In conclusion, the payment of the teacher trainees’ allowances is a positive move that will have a significant impact on their lives. It demonstrates the government’s commitment to supporting the education sector and ensuring the well-being of those who will shape the future of the nation.
