The President of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) has announced previously that teacher trainees are expected to receive one month’s allowances.
This has been pending due to delays in processing by the Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF). Despite the delay, trainees are advised to exercise patience as the funds are currently being processed. It is expected that payments will be made at any moment.
The amount to be received is ¢196.00, which includes a TTAG dues of ¢4.00 from the monthly ¢200.00. Teacher Trainee's accounts will be credited very soon.
This payment covers teacher trainees currently in L200, L300, L400 and those who just completed college. The one month payment is an arrears of 2024/2025 academic year.
However, 2 months payment was left for the 2024/2025 academic year. If SLTF pay the one month as disclosed earlier, teacher trainees will be left with only one month arrears for 2024/2025 academic year.
