Delay in Payment of Allowances: Controller and Accountant-General’s Department Breaks the Silence

The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department has issued a press release regarding a delay in the payment of two categories of allowances scheduled for November 2025 for Colleges of Education.

The delay was caused by a technical issue during the final payroll run. To prevent further disruptions, the processing of these allowances was temporarily paused.

The department assures all affected workers that the problem is being actively addressed. As a result, the outstanding allowances will be included in the December 2025 salary payment on 18th December 2025.

The department apologizes for the inconvenience caused and thanks all stakeholders, especially those in the education sector, for their understanding and patience.

This situation highlights the importance of timely and efficient administrative processes in ensuring the smooth functioning of public services.

Despite the delay, the department remains committed to resolving the issue promptly and maintaining the trust of the public.

This incident serves as a reminder of the challenges faced in public administration and the need for continuous improvement in service delivery.
