Today, my heart was filled with joy and pride as we officially launched the Education for All Project .
A vision born out of our collective belief that every child in Hohoe deserves the chance to dream, learn, and succeed.
Education has always been close to my heart because it is the most powerful tool, we can use to change lives and transform communities. Through this initiative, we are taking bold steps to make quality education accessible to every child, no matter their background or where they come from.
The project focuses on five key pillars:
1. Supporting brilliant but needy students through the Hohoe Education Endowment Fund.
2. Establishing SMART Labs to promote digital literacy.
3. Providing Internet Access for All Schools to bridge the digital divide
4. Recognizing and motivating our hardworking teachers, who are the backbone of our education system.
5. Delivering decent housing for teachers serving in remote areas, to keep talent where it is needed most.
Best Three BECE Candidates in Hohoe-Municipality
One of the most beautiful moments of the day was presenting scholarships to the Best Three BECE Candidates in our municipality:
1.TAWIAH JUSTICE OF SONRISE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY
2.TETTEH BENEDICT OF SONRISE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY
3. BIGONU FIDELIA OF HOHOE PRESBY BASIC SCHOOL
These young stars have made their parents, schools, communities, and indeed the entire Hohoe Constituency proud.
Through the Hohoe Education Endowment Scholarship Package, they will receive full support from Senior High School all the way to tertiary education including learning materials, provisions, termly stipends, and full tuition coverage.
This is our way of saying: “We see your potential, and we will walk this journey with you.”
Moments like this remind me why we must never stop investing in our children. They are the future of Hohoe, and together, we can give them the wings to soar higher than we ever imagined.
In addition, 500 Mattresses, 500 chop boxes, 500 pillows, and 500 bedsheets were distributed to the students going into SHS and Cheques were also presented to some tertiary students to support their education.
Let us continue to work hand in hand to make Hohoe a beacon of educational excellence.
We must move Hohoe to the next level
