Teacher's Continuous Professional Development Allowance in the GES Collective Agreement

The GES Collective Agreement for 2024 outlines the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Allowance for teaching staff. 

Professional teachers receive GH¢2,400 per academic year, while non-professional teachers are entitled to GH¢1,800 annually. 

A deduction of GH¢200 is made at source each year for CPD purposes, with an additional GH¢100 deducted for licence renewal.

 The allowance is paid in September each year, ensuring that staff have the necessary financial support to engage in ongoing professional growth. 

This provision reflects the GES commitment to maintaining high standards of education and supporting the continuous improvement of teaching staff.
