This is to inform you that the current batch of National Service Personnel (NSPs) who commenced their service on October 1, 2024, will complete their service on August 29, 2025. Consequently, their National Service leave month will be September 2025.
As the outgoing NSPs prepare to hand over to the new batch, we kindly request that all institutions and organizations take note of the following key dates:
- End of Current NSPs' Service: August 29, 2025
-National Service Leave Month: September 2025
- Commencement of New NSPs' Service: October 2025
We respectfully request that all institutions and organizations cooperate with the NSPs during this transition period, ensuring they are granted their leave month as scheduled. It is imperative that NSPs are allowed to take their leave without any hindrance, as this is a mandatory part of their service.
Please be advised that any institution or organization found to be deliberately preventing their NSPs from taking their leave month will face penalties as stipulated by the National Service Personnel Association.
Important Clarification on Voluntary Service
We also wish to clarify that while NSPs may voluntarily offer to continue serving their organizations or institutions during their leave month, this would be based on mutual agreement between the NSP and the organization. Any such arrangement would be contractual in nature and would not be a continuation of their National Service.
It is essential to note that National Service is a one-year program, and NSPs are not eligible to serve again after completing their service. We have noticed some circulations suggesting that NSPs can offer additional service in exchange for allowances or connections. We want to assure all NSPs and institutions that such claims are unfounded, and NSPs should be cautious of any attempts to exploit them.
